I’m a lawyer based out of New Delhi, India. I love what I do and where I live, most of the time. However, growing up with nomadic parents and reading ‘The Hobbit’ as a child has ensured that I begin to feel rather restless from time to time. I predictably end up on the road and along the way, I collect new experiences, new recipes and new interests. I document my travels so that I can relive them on a ridiculously regular basis. This blog is a collection of my very own ‘There and Back Again’ stories.
My favourite destinations from the past year are probably Jordan (from Umm Qais in the north to the Red Sea in the south) and Tawang District (in Arunachal Pradesh in North-East India). 5 places on my bucket list, in no particular order are:
1. Machu Picchu, Peru
5. Easter Island
If I could add a sixth and seventh for good measure, I suppose I’d say Socotra Island in Yemen (I might actually manage this one soon) and Zambia/ Zimbabwe: who doesn’t want to raft along the Zambezi River and see Victoria Falls?
A friend nick-named me “The Opportunist” back in University. I suppose this could be taken as as insult but I chose to follow the advice of the ever-wise Dowager Countess of Grantham:
“I advise you to take everything as a compliment, it saves many an awkward moment.”
I have seized every opportunity to see a new place ever since.
I hope you enjoy the blog!
